You can send Email, SMS, and PIN messages through your BlackBerry using Elertify on your PC.
Elertify must be connected to your BlackBerry or the Send Message option will be grayed out.
Right click the Elertify System tray Icon, select Send Message and select the type of message you want to send.
Type in the BlackBerry PIN, email address, or phone number along with the message and press the Send button.
New Email Messages will be sent from the default Message Service configured on your BlackBerry.
Email Replies will be sent using the account from which the email was received.
To change the default message service go to Options > Advanced Options > Default Services
A reboot may be required to change the default message service on some devices.
To reply to with a message, click the popup message when you see it on the PC.
Elertify does not currently support HTML mail and only plain text from the sender will be displayed when you reply.
Devices running OS 4.5 or earlier may not send any plain text when you receive pure HTML mail but you will still see the subject and you can still reply.
Phone calls will reply with a text message to the incoming phone number, if available.
Duplicate messages may appear if you send an email through a Gmail account. This is not an issue with Elertify but rather the way Gmail works with the BlackBerry Internet Service. You can either change your default message service to a non Gmail account or use one of the solutions listed in BlackBerry KB10332.
