USB Setup

The BlackBerry Desktop Software or the BlackBerry USB drivers must be installed to use Elertify.

Plug the USB cable into your BlackBerry and the PC.  Only one device at a time is supported.

Push the Connect button on the BlackBerry if you do not have Auto Connect Selected.

If you have auto connect selected Elertify should connect when you plug in the USB cable.

Elertify must be runing in the taskbar on the connected computer.

After you connect, you can send Elertify to the background and resume normal operation of the BlackBerry. To send Elertify to the background, push the red end key or select "Hide" from the BlackBerry menu.

If you have problems connecting, open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and make sure it says you are connected. It should say "Device connected (PIN):xxxxxxxx" in the lower left corner.

If you can't get it to connect try switching USB ports on the PC. It's best to plug the USB cable directly into the PC (not a hub) and use the USB cable that came with your BlackBerry.

If you still have problems try closing Elertify on the BlackBerry and reopen it or pull the battery out to reset the BlackBerry.

You can also try disabling tethering software that uses the USB connecton.
